White Stock Processing System
CME offers a comprehensive range of technologies and solutions for the Pharmaceutical manufacturing sector.
There can be a number of reasons why it is desirable to have the facility to process “White Stock” – previously manufactured product which has yet to be passed through final marking and or labelling ahead of dispatch. The introduction of “White Stock” product must be a simple yet well defined process to ensure product safety and traceability, whilst maintaining the highest levels of productivity.
CME’s “White Stock” systems offer the optimum combination of manual and automated processes to deliver the flexibility required of this type of system within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Operators are able to enter batch information via an HMI which in turn displays any pre-defined setting information which may be required for the product / batch to be processed, and sensors are used to verify correct settings. Operators can then present the “White Stock” product, usually in the form of bottles or tubs, to a tray and subsequently on to a rotary table.
The capacity of the tray and rotary table can be specified to meet customer requirements. Product is then fed along a conveyor and located ready for collection by a pick and place unit which will load the product to the main line.
If required CME’s system can incorporate additional technologies, such as a laser marking station to identify product as it enters the main line. These systems can be supplied as stand alone units or integrated as part of a comprehensive manufacturing line.
